Where your tracker lives

DeployLogs runs in Google Apps Script, inside the spreadsheet you open it in. Everything it builds and everything you type goes into that spreadsheet. Your Google account and the spreadsheet's sharing settings decide who can see it. DeployLogs has no server or database of its own.

What it asks Google for, and why

• See, edit, create and delete this spreadsheet. To build the tracker's tabs and keep them up to date. This covers only the spreadsheet you open DeployLogs in.
• Show menus and dialogs in Google Sheets. For the Extensions menu and the build, lock and close-out dialogs.
• See your email address. To show who locked the tracker, who turned on the audit log and who closed out the deploy. It is written into the spreadsheet's Overview tab.
• Run when the spreadsheet is edited. Only after you choose Turn on the audit log, to add each edit to the Audit log tab.

What the audit log records

For each edit: the time, the editor's email address when Google provides it, the tab, the row, the field, and the old and new values. It is stored on the Audit log tab of your spreadsheet.

What else it keeps

While a tracker is being built, a short marker is kept with the spreadsheet so two builds cannot run at once. It is removed when the build finishes. Google Apps Script keeps a log of the names of build steps, how long they took, and any error messages, which the developer can read to fix problems. That log does not include what you typed into the tracker.

Sharing

DeployLogs shares your data with no one. DeployLogs' use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

How long it is kept, and how to delete it

Your tracker stays until you delete its tabs or the spreadsheet. To stop DeployLogs from running, including the audit log, remove its access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
